I actually don't know what a gravatar is ... but maybe I can figure it out by going to the link you gave me, anyway. :) Thank you, I'll think of your suggestion! :D
It's a site that let's you load up a simple avatar image to use in various other sites. ds106 is one such site so that's why other people have a picture showing up for their account but you don't (unless you've started using Gravatar already :P)
Lockman did 1 tweet on Twitter about this earlier and I expect he should introduce it proper during class tomorrow

Yeah I think he should introduce this thing in class, too ... it's about customizing one's website and other relatings to it, and it's gonna be helpful for some people, indeed!
